MISSION & OBJECTIVES
Projet Communautaire de Pierrefonds (PCP) is an impact-focused community-centric organization providing programs and services that offer social, academic, linguistic, and emotional support to vulnerable families and children across the West Island. Established in 1995, PCP is a community organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. We strive to be deeply sensitive to, and respectful of, the needs and aspirations of families and their children. We value the diversity of individuals from all ethnic communities, and are committed to providing an environment of inclusivity and equality.
PCP is an organization that is open, flexible, and accessible, and we work to ensure that our programs are tailored to community needs and priorities. Our specific objectives are to:
-
Offer a bridge of assistance and relief to vulnerable individuals and families;
-
Ease and assist recent immigrant families with the transition to life in Montréal, Québec;
-
Help promote positive mental health and self-esteem;
-
Prepare children and students for greater academic and socially-based success;
-
Encourage greater awareness, understanding, and appreciation of, and among various community groups; and
-
Inspire and nurture the spirit of our members to achieve greater self-confidence and independence.
